The Cowal Way Just got Longer and to mark this exciting development an afternoon of fun and activities
was organised and based at the Glendaruel Village Hall. It included:  Guided and non-guided walks, The
Walking Theatre Company – ‘Whisky Walk’, and the New guide to the Cowal Way book launch by

A good number turned out making this a very successful day. There were
various stalls including Kintyre Way, Cowalfest and Rucksack Readers,
also a stand showing documents and photos from Glendaruel Estate
(now the  Caravan park) which proved very interesting to people..
Winston Churchill ran a very successful BBQ.
Michael Russell, MSP, Minister for
Culture, the Constitution and External
Affairs, launched the new Cowal Way
Guide Book.
The Forestry Commission provided a
minibus to transport people to and from
heritage walks which was much appreciated by the committee.
The event was rounded off with a lively ceilidh with Canned Haggis providing the
music.
